Pork Chop's story
Pork Chop's story:
Pork Chop is a fun loving guy that loves attention.  He does well with other dogs and loves to play!
Pork Chop can play a bit rough, probably just because he doesn't realize that he isn't a puppy anymore.  For this reason, older, sturdier children are a better fit for him.
Pork Chop has a great famous namesake! The little blue pup from the 90s cartoon, Doug, had a big personality just like our Pork Chop. Our Pork Chop is also nearly as smart as Doug's Pork Chop... although not quite smart enough to listen to headphones or check the mailbox. Maybe one day!
Pork Chop has not has an easy time in life so far. He was picked up as a stray and brought to a crowded, high volume shelter in Russell County. It seemed as though Pork Chop might have had a home at one point. He knows basic commands and is house trained.  Unfortunately, no one claimed him and he sat in that shelter for over a month.  Shelters can be a tough place for a dog, especially loud, crowded shelters. We wanted to give him a little relief and a bit more space so we brought into our rescue in hopes of finding a home for him.
