Jelly Bean's story
Jelly Bean's story:
Jelly Bean was the product of a backyard breeder, and then used for breeding herself.  When her captor was finally done using her, she was dumped by a shelter---not surrendered to a shelter, but left on her own with another used-up breeding dog nearby the shelter in her area.
That shelter took her in, and then they asked us for help when they became critically full. That's when Jelly Bean moved in with us at the Stafford SPCA.
Even though she had a pretty rough beginning, Jelly Bean remains sweet and playful.
She needs to learn a few manners, and we are working on house training but she does seem to be catching on quickly for a dog that was kept outside with little attention.
She has really learned the joy of playing and human affection.  Jelly Bean has discovered the world of toys, and running around in circles in the yard.
She would do really well with a dog of similar size who really likes to play. Jelly Bean loves playing with other dogs, either inside or outside!
Jelly Bean is heartworm negative, up to date on her shots, and healthy aside from being skinny and the scars she carries from her old way of life.
Help her on the track to her new life.  You won't be sorry.
