Trotter's story
Trotter's story:
Trotter is a nice gentleman with impeccable manners. He was originally picked up as a stray in Sussex County and he was not in very good shape. He has lost most of his fur and had skin and ear infections. Trotter was just grateful for a nice bed and a bowl of food. They fixed him up at that shelter and called us for help when the shelter became full.
We were happy to take Trotter in at the Stafford SPCA, and he seems happy with his new lodgings. He is still a bit uncomfortable with itchy skin and ears, but we are continuing to treat them and know he will feel much better once he is totally healed!
We also realized that Trotter's teeth were causing him some pain. Our vet thinks that he needs to have eight teeth removed. We have the dental extractions and cleaning scheduled along with his neuter.
Through all of the baths and skin treatments, ear cleaning and nail clipping, Trotter remains one of the most even-tempered, mild-mannered dogs we have ever met. He even learned to be house trained within a week of being at our rescue.
He is respectful of furniture and loves the company of humans. This guy is seriously sweet and easy going. We can't imagine how his personality will shine once we get him all fixed up!
